After our family was here for a few days, we all went to northern Virginia (near Leesburg) to spend some time up there and in Washington DC. Our first day we went to the National Zoo. I have been there many times and have never seen the zoo so crowded. The temperature was near 100 so needless to say, walking around with little shade on the pavement was almost unbearable. I really wanted to see the panda bears and was successful.
