favorites.

A few of the current favorites around our house right now. Hunter is obsessed with his tricycle and his boots. He wants to spend all of his time outside riding his tricycle. The weather has been gracious enough to allow this to happen. He also loves his rain boots. It was raining the other day and he was jumping in puddles. He wears them whenever I allow it-the grocery store, Moes, but I did draw the line on Sunday for church.

Andrew like his walker because it allows him to walk faster in order to catch Hunter. They chase each other around the circle of our downstairs. Andrew's most favorite thing is still...food! The kid can eat.

family.

I LOVE love living near my family. It is wonderful to have them nearby to hang out with and I'm not gonna lie, to help out with the boys. Hunter just spent the night with my parents while we had a yard sale at our house. He loves seeing them and doesn't look back when telling us good-bye. Hunter has started to ask to eat a meal with my family and then calls them on the phone to ask them. So cute.
Most of my friends do not have their families living near them, so I am very thankful that we have the gift of family in close proximity.

Mother's Morning Out

Hunter had his first mother's morning out last Friday. He was so excited about going to his "school" (mother's morning out is too hard to say). It is a co-op, so Friday was my day to work in his room. It was great to meet the kids he will be playing with and see what his routine is like. Hunter is not shy at all, so I don't think he will even look back when I drop him off this week.

Andrew joined me for half of MMO this week. He still really needs his morning out and thankfully daddy was off. He loved playing with all the new toys and I was reminded that he isn't my little baby anymore. He gets to start when he is 18 months. Yeah for mommy time!

howdy!

Since we haven't taken a family shot in quite awhile, I thought I would post this fun one. We had a barn dance at our church last Saturday. I love my boys in overalls.
Don't let Hunter fool you that he didn't have a great time. He was mad that we had to leave :)

Beach Vacation

Last week we were invited to the beach with our friends Evan and Kim. They live outside of Charlotte so we don't get to see them too often. The weather was absolutely beautiful. The boys loved being on the beach and in the pool. Our hotel had a lazy river and several pools. I enjoyed relaxing in the sun with no kids and great conversations. What a great way to end the summer.
Thank you for inviting us, we had a great time and look forward to another beach trip!

Welcome Owen!

I just love it when God answers prayers. This precious child was such an answer to prayer. We got to meet Owen this past week. Owen, we are so glad that you are here. Congrats Evan & Kim!

11 months

11 months? wow. Andrew continues to be such a happy boy and although he likes to be on the ground moving around, he has a relaxed nature. He loves to play in the toy room and can most often be heard saying "bawl". He still is obsessed with balls.
He talks all the time and has clearly added Star to his vocabulary and dog. I can't wait to hear him say Hunter's name.
He is taking 2-3 steps and loves to stand on his own.
He is becoming a better sleeper and now likes his blankie.
One of my favorite things is how he gives kisses over and over and then laughs.
He also is learning to dance and it's quite a sight.
Can't wait to celebrate a big birthday soon!

play. poop. prayer.

This picture absolutely cracks me up. Yes, Hunter is checking (smelling) Andrew's diaper to see if he has poop in it. I couldn't resist putting this on the blog. Hunter tells me often that A has poop and usually he's right.

And the precious prayer that I heard tonight:
"Dear Jesus, Help me get my paci's. Thank you for bed Jesus. Jesus loves me this I know. A-B-C-D-E-F-G. Look, a triangle (as he is making a triangle with his fingers), you do one too mom. "
