Spidermen

Spiderman, Spiderman! These 2 have been really looking forward to Halloween and dressing up. We had a rainy and cold night, but despite the weather, the boys loved treak-or-treating. Andrew caught on quickly that he could keep getting more candy in his basket and he did not want anyone to mess with his candy. They didn't each much candy tonight, but between the sugar high and the excitement of Halloween, it was amusing to watch our hyper boys.

State Fair.

We went to the great, State Fair! I love going to the fair and it's great to watch the boys. They are overwhelmed by the sights and sounds. Nathan and I love the people watching, it's incredible. We went on free admission day and it ended up being so windy and pretty cold. Hunter and Andrew rode a couple of rides and enjoyed seeing all the animals, sitting in a real school bus and the PBS kids tent. We enjoyed a turkey leg, roasted corn and a nutella crepe.

Andrew's party

Last weekend we celebrated Andrew's birthday with some of his favorite people. One of his favorite places to be is at the park, so fittingly, we had his party at the park. It was a beautiful day and the boys loved running around the park and woods. Happy birthday sweet boy!

Fall Festival

We had a Fall Festival at our church to celebrate our church's 25th anniversary. The kids absolutely loved it. Hunter rode a pony and they jumped in the bounce house several times, played carnival games and did a 3-legged race. The pastors took turns in the dunking booth. Hunter and I tried to dunk Nathan but we were both unsuccessful. We then enjoyed dinner and a video which Nathan did an incredible job of putting together. We are so blessed to call CGS our church.

Date Knight.

Hunter and I went to the Mother-Son Date Knight at Chick-fil-A. We had a reservation and were escorted to our table that had our names on the table. They had gifts for both of us and I had written Hunter a note that they typed out and had on the table. Hunter loved his gift- a sword. We ordered our food at the table and everything was brought out to us that we needed, including the favorite ice cream.

It was a neat time to do something special with Hunter and focus solely on him. What a sweet boy we have.

I already loved CFA- the best food and customer service, so this just added to the love. Side note: moms, did you know they have mom's valet? I rarely take the kids out to eat by myself, but with moms valet you order and pay in the drive-thru and then they meet you at the door, take you to your table where your food is waiting. Love it!

See? Lightening McQueen & Thomas. We also gave him a truck book so his 3 favorites. And, you know I'm so frugal, I got all 3 toys at a yard sale for $5. Woohoo!

We went to a small circus for Andrew's birthday. Nathan and I laughed a lot because let's just say, it was no Ringling Brothers. The great thing was we had front row seats and were so close the action. They loved seeing the elephant up close and of course the lions & tigers.
