Strawberries & Holding Hands

Last week we went to pick strawberries with the Albees. The weather was perfect-the berries, not so much because of all of the rain. The older boys loved eating the strawberries and looking at the big turtle. Natalie and Andrew just hung out in the stroller taking it all in.

When we were leaving, Josiah reached over and grabbed Hunter's hand. Precious. They walked to the car this way until Jack joined in and they were all 3 holding hands. What a time to have your camera ready.

If you saw these 3 boys together (and Kai too), it would make this moment even sweeter. The 4 of them know how to make a little bit of noise and a big mess too.

Chuck E Cheese

When Linds and Pey-Pey were here, it poured and poured all day on Monday. Hunter had to get out of the house to let off a wee bit of energy. What better place than Chuck-e-cheese?
Nathan and Peyton played several games of basketball, and they can't agree on the winner. I think we all 4 can agree on the winner of our Sequence tournament? We would love to play yall again to see if you can redeem yourselves. Don't count on it. But we still love you.

Duke Gardens

The flowers were {as usual} simply stunning.

Linds & Peyton

Lindsey (Nathan's younger sister) and Peyton (her boyfriend) came for a long visit this past weekend. We had a great time hanging out with them, showing them a few great places in our city and sharing in our love of food. Hunter already loved his Cherry and now he asks for Peyton too! Hurry back for BBQ.

NC Zoo

Why not dance while you are taking a drink break?

We finally went to the zoo! We looked at the weather, and it was un-seasonably cool, so Nathan switched his day off and we went to the zoo. We were hoping the animals would be a bit more active since the weather was cooler and they were for the most part. We watched the trainers with the sea lion and the seals-it was like SeaWorld. I really wanted to see the polar bear and he was swimming a ton. Hunter's favorite animal (right now) is giraffe's (from Giraffe's Can't Dance)and we got to see them pretty close up. We all had a terrific time!

7 months

Andrew continues to be such a happy baby. He knows what he wants and will "army crawl" to get a toy, no matter how far away it is. So long are the days of having him stay in one place. He is so curious and tries to dive out of our arms to reach the beloved remote or monitor. My dad would be proud, Andrew loves anything that has a light on it! He loves to eat food (minus peas) and is constatnly grabbing our food. This is the opposite of Hunter at that age, and now for that matter. All of the cousins on Nathan's side of the family get a nickname. Andrew's name is "Blueberry" because of those eyes!

One of my favorite things is when Hunter runs to the door when daddy comes home. It is so fun to watch Andrew get excited when he hears daddy's voice and squirms until Nathan comes over to get him!

Museum

We enjoyed a fun Friday at the museum. The best part for Nathan and I were the bears. All 5 of the bears were up walking around and two of them were wrestling. The weather was perfect-we are enjoying it now before it becomes so hot and humid.
