Museum

Last week we went to the museum with the boys. Jack, Kai, Josiah, Hunter and Ian went to The Museum of Life and Science. We love going here because there is so much to do inside and outside. Hunter loves the indoor area with all of the balls and climbing on everything. It was a gorgeous day, so we had a blast outside playing with the drums, in the sand and looking at all of the animals.

We tried to get a picture of the boys. (Minus Ian, he was sound asleep.) This was one attempt of many. I love how my son wanted to climb the stairs. Josiah was looking down in all the pics, Kai was cooperating and Jack had his hands on his head. Too cute.

This was the one that looked the best.

I'm bummed that my camera switched to b&w. Ooops.

I feel so blessed to have these two dear friends in my life. It's not often, actually it will probably never happen again, that Nathan will be on staff with 2 other pastors that are exactly his age. Krista, Lisa and I are also exactly the same age, all have the same degree, all work part part-time tutoring and all have boys. Well, I can't exactly say all have boys anymore. Krista is due w/ #3 in July and yes, It's a girl!! (My ultrasound is in 2 weeks!)
When you are in full-time ministry it's hard for others to relate. There are many reasons for this, maybe that will be another post. Anyway, when we get together, we can have honest conversation about the joys and hardships. We don't have to preface things explaining where we are coming from. We just understand. We can relate to one another so easily. What a gift friends are. I'm so thankful for both of you-more than you'll ever know!

Happy Easter!

There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain;
Then bursting forth in glorious day,
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory,
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me;
For I am His and He is mine—
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

Guess What??

That's right, Hunter is going to be a BIG brother!! We are so excited for this new blessing. I am almost 13 weeks and will be due mid-October.

This ultrasound was taken almost 3 weeks ago. What a gift to see the heartbeat.

I love this picture. He looks so proud! Hunter, you are going to make the very best big brother. We love you bucket!
We would covet your prayers for our new baby, that he/she would be healthy!
"Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever."

Funny

I was informed this weekend by some of my blog stalkers, i mean friends, that I need to post more funny stories. I am not the storyteller in the family, that would be Nathan. I told them I would try to think to write down funny things that have happened. I know Hunter will continue to provide me with many stories the older he gets. So here is a short one for now.
My back has been hurting all day thanks to a VERY uncomfortable bed I slept on last night. (I was away at Lake Norman for a girls night. Nathan and Hunter greatly enjoyed their first father-son adventure.) I have been looking forward to taking a bath ALL day long. Mind you, I haven't taken a bath in well over a year. We don't have a garden tub or jacuzzi so the thought doesn't sound so appealing, until tonight. I was giving Hunter a bath and thought, I'll just put him to bed and add more water when he gets out. I'm trying to be more green. :) Well, I always knew this day would come...Hunter stands up in the tub, passes a bit of gas, and then yep, POOPS IN THE TUB. If this has happened to you before, you know there is nothing to do to stop it. I grabbed him out of the tub and of course, let the water out. So the dilema, I really want a bath, but the thought of it now, again, is not so appealing. And for those of you that will be using our ONLY bathtub in the future, no worries, it's 110% disinfected. My dad gave me hospital-grade disinfectant that kills everything under the sun. At least my bathtub is clean! :)
