road trip!

all the boys!
Last week, Lisa and I took our 4 boys on a road trip. We drove to see the Albees one last time before they move to Boston. They were at the lake house, so it was great to see them and have a little visit on the lake. There were 6 boys and little Natalie so as you can imagine the noise level was high, lots and lots of jumping and running occurred and the envitable scream and cry.
Andrew enjoyed his first boat ride. Hunter loved loved jumping off the dock.
Lisa, Krista, and I enjoyed talking in peace and quiet while the kids were sleeping at night. What a treat to see them before they head up north.

*As a side note-when you haven't water-skiied in many years, you've had 2 children and you just recently pulled your back out, don't think you can just get up on a slalom the first time. It doesn't work and it makes your back hurt even a week later. You can thank me for the great advice later.

see you soon

Another good-bye. Our dear friends and neighbors, The Markles, just left. They are moving up north, but not back to their homeland in Canada. We loved having neighbours from a different country so we could learn a few of their traditions :) Just kidding, we always made fun of them, but it was great to have 2 Thanksgivings, including Canandian Thanksgiving in October.

It's always nice to have kids close in age, but wonderful when the kids are very close in age, are all boys, and you live across the street. I'm so grateful that I had someone to share the ups and downs of being a new mother. We already miss hanging out in the street and I've picked up the phone to ask Robyn if I can borrow an ingredient. (I did this dozens of times). Markles-you are already missed and we look forward to seeing you soon.
This is Starbucks and Tasman. They were the bestest of friends.

having FUN

10 months

What a little charmer. Andrew continues to be so happy and enjoys life. He is trying to keep up with big brother and usually decides that whatever toy Hunter has is the one he wants too. It's vice versa too, so let the fun begin. Andrew can climb up the stairs at a scary pace and laughs while he is on his way up. He screams when he's in his high chair and has no food within his reach. He eats more than Hunter at every meal, but is only in the 50% for weight. (Partly due to a virus, and partly because he moves so much). Love my blue-eyed baby!

birthday, birthday!

last weekend Michael and I celebrated our birthdays. he hit a big one-quarter of a century. we enjoyed celebrating with the fam.

Hunter has caught on quick. He doesn't care who has a birthday, as long as he gets cake.
