Spring has sprung!

We are so excited that the fresh air and warmer weather are here. These pictures were taken on Sunday after church. It hasn't felt like spring these last several days in our house since Hunter has had a bad stomach virus. I look forward to getting out and enjoying the beautiful weather of spring.

Mini Va-cay

Last week we took a little trip for some much needed refreshment. Many people were on spring break so it was a great time for us to slip away. We stayed with our friends Evan and Kim and then headed to the mountains.
On the way, we made a dinner stop at IKEA! Charlotte just got one about a month ago. IKEA is great, but when your family (Scholls) are Scandinavian, it's even better. Hunter loved his sweedish meatballs with lingonberry sauce. (Mimi, your homemade sweedish meatballs are the best, but these were still delicious.)
We had great weather for part of our trip, but not so great in the mountains. Unfortunately it was chilly and wet so we couldn't get out for a hike. Our mountain cabin, thanks to a family in our church, was quite warm and cozy. Remember, I love cozy. We came home refreshed and had a great time hanging out with each other.

Our last night in the mountains, we went to a Japanese Steakhouse in Boone. Hunter has never been so entertained at dinner. However, he was a little freightened by the enormous flame. Notice the death grip on the highchairand the face of shock. The rest of the time he was smiling.

We went to the same place last year exactly one year ago.

15 months

Before

After

We really enjoyed our day yesterday with the 80+ weather! Spring, we are ready for your arrival. Hunter got his second hair-cut yesterday, but this time we decided to do it ourselves. I think it looks good (just a wee bit short in the back). Thankfully his hair grows like a weed and will be long again soon. Hunter has another cold and ear infection. I don't even really want to know the count, but we will be discussing tubes at his next appointment. :( He's a trooper.
And, Hunter will be 15 months tomorrow!

Snow day?!

That's right, it snowed again. For those blog readers in the north, you might think it's no big deal to see snow again, but it is a big deal when you are in the south and it's March. We got almost 3 inches of snow. Hunter enjoyed walking around in the snow and looking at his footprints. Now I am definately ready for spring!!
