Curious Hunter

We had Hunter's birthday party several weeks early this year. I am now a huge fan of having his party early. We had a small party with Hunter's requested guests: Kai and Ian. If you know Hunter, it would be no surprise that he had a Curious George party. Hunter is so curious himself-one of the qualitlies that I do love about my sweet boy. He always wants to know what is around him and what is on shelves, drawers, etc. As you might imagine, this can be a bit frustrating for me when he go to other people's houses.
At Hunter's party we played a Curious George game- stick the flower on the log. What a hit! All 4 boys loved playing this game. We also had a pinata and again, the boys loved hitting it with the bat.
Hunter thinks that his birthday is over, so he might be a bit confused when we say Happy Birthday next week. I can't believe his is almost 3!

give thanks.

This year for Thanksgiving we made a turkey. Every night at dinner, and a few other meals too, we would go around and say what we were thankful for. I loved doing this because it gave us all a chance to name many things we are grateful for. It's so neat to watch Hunter name things he is thankful for-the top of his list phones & God's love. The top of Andrew's list: ball and snack.

Andrew's 1st Year Pictures

A HUGE thanks to Michael, my brother, for taking these great pictures. I wanted to get our Christmas card picture taken and also Andrew's first year and Hunter 3rd year. We went to the American Tobacco Campus to take these pictures, or rather run around chasing 2 boys.
It is most appropriate that Andrew is holding a ball in his hand in several of the pics. He continues to have an obsession with balls.

Our weekend

This past weekend we had our missions conference at church. If you ever have a chance to hear Dr. Richard Pratt, I highly recommend it. It was quite powerful. Saturday morning we headed to the museum. It was quite a treat to see Lisa, Kai and Ian there. Hunter talks about Kai ALL THE TIME so he was elated.
We also went to a gymnastics birthday party. All the boys had a blast as you can see from the pictures. Natalie and Riley are 2 of Hunter's favorite girlfriends!
